Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

PrXpice stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Server connection details – hostname, port, and display name you enter when adding a Proxmox VE server.
• Authentication credentials – username/password or API token, stored in the iOS Keychain using Apple's encrypted storage. These are never transmitted to anyone other than your own Proxmox server.
• Crash logs – if the app crashes, a log file is written to the app's local storage on your device. These logs are not sent anywhere automatically; they remain on your device until the app clears them (after 7 days) or you delete the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

The data listed above is used solely to:

• Authenticate with and connect to the Proxmox VE servers you configure.
• Display virtual machine desktops over the SPICE protocol.
• Restore your saved server list between app launches.

The developer has no access to any of this information at any time.

3. Data Sharing

PrXpice does not:

• Send any data to the developer or any third-party service.
• Use advertising SDKs or analytics frameworks.
• Track your usage, behaviour, or location.
• Share data with advertisers, data brokers, or any external parties.

The only network connections made by PrXpice are directly from your device to the Proxmox VE servers you explicitly configure.

4. Microphone Access

PrXpice requests microphone permission to support SPICE audio input — this allows your voice to be transmitted to the virtual machine (e.g. for use within the VM). Audio is streamed directly to your Proxmox server over the SPICE connection. It is not recorded, stored, or sent anywhere else.

5. Network Access

PrXpice uses the network exclusively to communicate with Proxmox VE servers you configure. All communication uses TLS (SPICE over TLS or Proxmox HTTPS API). No other external network connections are made.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

All data (server list, credentials, crash logs) is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual servers from within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device permanently.

7. Children's Privacy

PrXpice is a technical utility intended for IT professionals and advanced users. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
